Fifth Quarter Enterprises (FQE) and Jesus Anoints Me (JAM) Ministries will partner to produce this year's "BACK TO SCHOOL" JAM SESSION to be held at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on August 21, 2009. As part of the development efforts to support the programming of J.A.M. in the upcoming school year, Fifth Quarter will donate services through its Business and Educational Divisions to agencies with Youth oriented programming. The services include a list of staff and organizational development opportunities, as well as programming under the J.A.M. Dynamic Dozen umbrella for school-age youth. Agencies or indivdiuals making specific donation amounts can sponsor services to their chosen organization and/or for their own business/agency. Fifth Quarter President, Dr. Ron Brown explains the rationale for this unique arrangement. "FQE has long served the communities of Pittsburgh and the region with quality youth development programming and it is part of our agency's mission to use its expertise and talents in ways that can seriously make a difference in the lives of our young people."
J.A.M. Board President, Carla Young announced the agreement and quickly added it to the fundraising campaign for the upcoming JAM Session. The arrangement is intended to support youth in sponsored agencies with Fifth Quarter's signature academic enrichment program, the Academic Success Workshops. She states, "This will also cut down on the costs of quality services that agencies can implement around capacity building." The in-kind services can be packaged based on the donation amount and the needs of the organization. Young further states, "Our youth need all the help we can give them and Fifth Quarter is one of, if not the top consulting groups in the region with a solid reputation for quality programming. We are blessed to be in a position to be able to draw on their services to expand J.A.M.s reach throughout our communities." Proceeds generated from the partnership will also support the capital campaign to produce the JAM Sessions slated for the 2009-10 calendar year that runs from July 1 through June 30th.
